Back to the sketchbook

I hope November has been good to you so far. Ever since I finished Citizens of Purgatory and uploaded it to Amazon, I’ve more or less collapsed in an exhausted heap. I love to write, but I’m happy that I don’t have a writing project hanging over my head at the moment. It’s nice to just float along and enjoy life, rather than hunkering over my laptop, editing, editing, editing. The other night, I sat on the couch and ate popcorn and drank eggnog and watched The Miracle on 34th Street. I’ve never seen it before. I really liked it. I’ve also been drawing a lot lately. Here are two pictures I’ve done. One is Oprah. The other is Paula White.

Thanks for reading. Have a nice week.

I’ve started working in my Moleskine sketchbook again recently, the sketchbook my German friends gave me back in April. I drew this picture about a week ago. This is my blogger friend Laurali Star, who lives down in Florida. I’ve drawn a few other caricatures too, but I’m going to wait and post the rest of them all at once.

Hope you’re having a fantastic weekend and enjoying the fall weather — if it’s fall in your part of the world, anyway. (I think it’s spring in Australia right now, isn’t it?)

Thanks for reading.
