Star Trek: The Pajama Party

Here is a stripped-down version of Star Trek: The Motion Picture. Because of their strange uniforms, I like to call it Star Trek: The Pajama Party. I like the way the visual style differs from the TV series and the subsequent films. This movie is the redheaded stepchild of the Star Trek franchise. (Please note the cell phones mounted in their bellybuttons. Gene Roddenberry was a true visionary.)

    • I know how you feel, Marina. They’re my favorite crew too! 🙂 And I do like the original costumes. I was exploring on YouTube last night and I came across this clip. I don’t know who edited it and put it together. (Obviously somebody named Burns.) But I don’t think I’ve ever watched the actual movie, not all the way through. Something about it just cracks me up. It doesn’t really belong to the 70s or the 80s. It doesn’t fit any decade and it doesn’t fit the rest of the Star Trek series, either. It’s so odd.
